The Cheonan Philharmonic Orchestra will hold an opera matinee concert ‘La Traviata’ on April 15th at Bongseo Hall in Cheonan City Hall.
‘La Traviata’ is a representative work by the Italian opera maestro Giuseppe Verdi, depicting a tragic love story set in 19th-century Parisian high society. The opera unfolds the heartrending love between Violetta, a prominent figure in the glamorous social scene, and Alfredo, a young nobleman who loves her, along with the dramatic events that occur in the face of social prejudice and fate.
Gu Mo-young, the permanent conductor of the Cheonan Philharmonic Orchestra, will lead the performance with his conducting and commentary. Three vocalists and one dancer will join him on stage to vividly convey the dramatic emotions within the opera.
Ticket reservations for the performance can be made through Ticketlink and other platforms.
