Cisco has announced the launch of new Wi-Fi 7 access points and a unified subscription license at Cisco Live Melbourne 2024. These innovations are designed to accelerate the creation of smart workspaces by integrating built-in location awareness and analytics solutions.
Cisco's new Wi-Fi 7 access points can be managed either on-premises or in the cloud, offering flexibility to customers. Both options can be accessed through Cisco's unified networking subscription, providing a single license for the entire Wi-Fi 7 solution. This streamlined approach simplifies business operations for Cisco customers.
The new access points feature AI-powered wireless performance and profile optimization, automatically detecting locations upon installation. Coupled with the Cisco Spaces platform, included in the subscription, customers gain a comprehensive operating system to transform their workspaces into smart environments.
With advanced threat detection, AI-powered device profiling, threat prevention, and robust wireless security, all connections are securely protected. Cisco's ThousandEyes network monitoring solution further enhances the experience with AI-driven automation, ensuring optimal performance and identifying and resolving bottlenecks across both Cisco and third-party networks.
"The digital transformation has deeply integrated our lives with sensors, cameras, computers, and mobile screens, and Wi-Fi 7 is at the heart of it all," said Gitu Patel, Cisco Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer. "With our new Wi-Fi 7 products and Cisco Spaces, we're delivering connectivity, security, data, and assurance to empower IT, real estate, and facilities teams to reimagine work and customer experiences anywhere."
