Lotte Chemical CEO Lee Young-jun Focuses on On-Site Management in Malaysia and Indonesia

Bucheon, South Korea – Lee Young-jun, CEO of Lotte Chemical, is accelerating on-site management by consecutively visiting overseas business sites in Malaysia and Indonesia.
On April 3rd and 4th, CEO Lee visited the Lotte Chemical Titan plant in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and the construction site of the Lotte Chemical Indonesia LINE Project in Cilegon, Indonesia. During his visits, he encouraged employees and emphasized safety management.
At the Lotte Chemical Titan plant, CEO Lee stated, "Safety is the foundation of the chemical equipment industry," urging employees to prioritize safe operations and customer management. He also emphasized, "We will spare no support for safe plant operations, and let us bravely overcome crises by aiming for positive improvements and innovation."
Furthermore, CEO Lee noted, "Lotte Chemical has expanded its business globally, accumulating outstanding capabilities and traditions," and encouraged employees to "actively leverage overseas business operation know-how and business capabilities to create synergy."
Meanwhile, the Lotte Chemical Indonesia LINE Project, which CEO Lee visited, is a massive petrochemical complex with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons of ethylene, 520,000 tons of propylene, and 250,000 tons of polypropylene. 1 The project is currently in its final stages of completion.
This project is evaluated as having strategic value in expanding Lotte Chemical's global production competitiveness, as well as contributing to Indonesia's economic growth and job creation.
In addition, CEO Lee held a meeting with Indonesia's largest petrochemical product distributor and agreed to expand cooperation in production and sales within Indonesia and strengthen joint responses for new product development.
This overseas business trip by CEO Lee Young-jun is seen as a move demonstrating Lotte Chemical's commitment to prioritizing safety management and securing sustainable growth engines through the strengthening of global business competitiveness and the consolidation of local partnerships.
