The disclosed conversations contained circumstances indicating inhumane pressure from the head of the hospital's training department, Dr. Carlos Román, who instructed residents to prepare for presentation immediately upon returning from leave. The messages, even demanding presentation preparation right after returning from sick leave, starkly reveal the extreme stress and pressure faced by the medical staff.

At the center of the controversy, Dr. Carlos Román had been serving as the head of the trauma surgery training department until the incident.
