Released in September 2022, the music video has been a consistent fan favorite, showcasing the group's powerful performances and visually stunning production. The video was notably produced with YG Entertainment's largest-ever budget, featuring elaborate sets and a visually striking homage to Blackpink's previous hits.
"Shut Down" samples Niccolò Paganini's "La Campanella," a piece known for its technical difficulty and virtuosic performance. The song's blend of classical elements with modern hip-hop production has been widely praised by critics and fans alike.
