Low rent, management/business/investment support benefits to strengthen the competitiveness of content companies
The Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (Director Kim Gok-mi, hereinafter ‘the Agency’) is recruiting new resident companies for the ‘Chungnam Content Business Support Center’ (hereinafter ‘the Support Center’) to vitalize the local content industry and support the settlement of content companies.
Companies in the content industry (based on the Korean Standard Industrial Classification) with less than 7 years of business history are eligible to apply, excluding game content industries, printing, and publishing rental businesses.
Selected companies must relocate their headquarters to the Chungnam Content Business Support Center (located in Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do) upon selection, and the residency period is one year. It can be extended for a maximum of 5 years through a subsequent evaluation.
Located within a 7-minute walk from Cheonan-Asan Station (KTX), the Support Center offers individual office spaces at up to 70% lower cost than the surrounding market rate. Resident companies can also use the facilities within the center (XR Stage, event hall, VR/AR equipment, etc.) free of charge.
Furthermore, resident companies can participate in various projects operated by the Support Center, including ▲scale-up acceleration, ▲customized content development support, and ▲internship support. Networking and capacity-building programs are also provided.
Currently, 20 content companies are residing in the Support Center, receiving support for various commercialization programs such as inter-company networking, business capacity-building, field-specific consulting, customized training, and investment consultations.
Director Kim Gok-mi stated, "To promote the development of the local content industry, we are striving to create a vibrant startup and investment ecosystem for local content companies, moving away from the support system concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area, including the creation of four investment funds. We look forward to the enthusiastic interest and participation of innovative companies that will shape the future of Chungnam's content industry."
Applications can be submitted via email from March 31st to April 14th, and approximately five companies will be selected. Successful companies will be able to move in from May.
