[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES]  South Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Tae-heum attended the opening ceremony of the ‘8th Yesan Market Three Kingdoms Festival’ held in Yesan Permanent Market on the 17th, congratulating the event and welcoming visitors to the festival site.

Hosted and organized by Yesan County and the Yesan County Development Committee, this festival was prepared to promote coexistence with local commercial districts and promote regional development with differentiated content that captures the identity of the Yesan region.

With the attendance of Governor Kim, Yesan County Governor, provincial and county officials, local residents, and tourists, the opening ceremony was held in that order, including a chrysanthemum lighting ceremony and a congratulatory performance.

At this event, Governor Kim said, “4.4 million tourists visited Yesan in the first half of this year alone, led by Yesan Market, which has already greatly exceeded last year’s number of visitors.” He added, “As the emergence of Yesan as a tourism destination began with the Three Kingdoms Festival, the Three Kingdoms Festival will be held in the future.” “The province will provide further support so that it can develop into a world-class festival,” he said.

Governor Kim continued, saying, “The province will properly prepare tourism contents that take advantage of Chungnam’s unique characteristics to create ‘Chungnam, the nation’s No. 1 cultural tourism city,’ with 50 million visitors by 2026.” He added, “The budget that will be the core of these is the budget.” He emphasized, “We will present a tourist course that combines culture and nature, from the market to Sudeok Temple, Chusa House, and Yedang Lake.”

In addition, Governor Kim added, “Furthermore, we will make ‘Chungnam Bangjeok,’ which has been neglected for over 20 years, into the largest cultural complex with craft beer and traditional liquor breweries, and ‘Deoksan Hot Springs Tourist Hotel’ will also regain its status as a national hot spring attraction.” We asked for a lot of interest and support for Yesan tourism, including the Three Kingdoms Festival, a market full of things to see and eat.

Meanwhile, the Yesan Market Three Kingdoms Festival will be held for four days until the 20th, and you can enjoy a variety of food, daily performances for all ages, and various side events.
