Incheon, South Korea – Hyundai Capital maintained their impressive winning streak, defeating their rivals Korean Air in a thrilling match on Lunar New Year's Day. The victory solidified their position at the top of the V-League.

The match, held at the Incheon Gyeyang Gymnasium, saw Hyundai Capital triumph with a 3-1 set score (20-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-22). With this win, Hyundai Capital extended their winning streak to an astonishing 15 consecutive matches, edging closer to the league's single-season record of 18 wins set by themselves in the 2015-2016 season.

Furthermore, Hyundai Capital also set a new V-League record for the most consecutive away victories. Their impressive 15-match winning streak on the road surpassed their previous record of 14 wins achieved in 2016.

The victory widened the gap between Hyundai Capital and second-placed Korean Air to 17 points, solidifying their dominance at the top of the standings.

Key Players and Match Highlights

Leo, Hyundai Capital's star player, led the team with 23 points, while Heo Su-bong contributed 16 points. For Korean Air, Jeong Han-yong scored 14 points, but his efforts were overshadowed by his team's loss. Yosvani Hernandez, despite scoring 17 points, struggled with a low attack success rate of 36.84%.

대한항ong took the first set, gaining an early advantage. However, Hyundai Capital rallied back, winning the next three sets in closely contested matches. Leo's consistent performance and the team's strong defense were instrumental in securing the victory.

Hyundai Construction Women Also Triumph

In the women's division, Hyundai Construction defeated GS Caltex 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-22) to end their two-game losing streak. Moma, Yang Hyo-jin, and Lee Da-hyun led Hyundai Construction's offensive charge with double-digit points.
