Municipal Ballet of Los Ángeles
In addition, visitors can explore the facilities of the Municipal Theater, Lepün Küifi Kimün (a space dedicated to Mapuche silversmithing), and Ce Crea Los Ángeles, a program of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage.

New Additions and Cultural Enrichment:

This year, the Open House will feature a dedicated booth for Kuifi Kimün, which opened in November 2024. Attendees will be able to discover the 2025 program offerings, which include:

Mapuche weaving (Witral) workshops
Traditional medicine (Lawen) and herbal processes
Mapudungun language classes
Felt needling
Oral storytelling (Epew) for children
Guided tours led by the museum's Intercultural Mediator

"Lepün Küifi Kimün for 2025 will offer workshops of mapuche loom (Witral), Lawen and its process of herbs, Mapudungun and felt needling, all facilitated by mapuche women of collaborating organizations. Also Epew, oral stories for childhoods, and mediated visits in charge of the Intercultural Mediator of the museum will be realized”, Katherine Cáceres, coordinator of the space, concluded.

“From Ce Crea Los Ángeles, we are happy to participate again in the Open House 2025, a key instance to bring the artistic and cultural offer to children and young people. This space allows us to make our work visible and expand access to more childhoods and adolescences.” Oriele Beyer, representative of CeCrea Los Ángeles said.

Camila Suazo Mella, manager of the Municipal Cultural Corporation of Los Ángeles, emphasized the importance of the event:

“I want to invite the whole community to visit the Los Ángeles Cultural Center this March 10th and 11th, where we will have our great Open House, an instance of diffusion and visibility of all the activities that we generate as an institution: its five artistic schools, its Municipal Ballet and also the infrastructures that are available to our entire city, such as the Municipal Theater of Los Ángeles and the museum of Mapuche silversmithing Lepün Küifi Kimün,” she stated.

Casa Abierta CCMLA 2025 will feature informative stands detailing the program offerings for the year, including modules, teachers, subjects, requirements, registration dates, and auditions.

Community Engagement and Cultural Access:

The CCMLA's Open House 2025 is a testament to the organization's commitment to fostering cultural engagement and providing accessible arts education to the community. Whether you're a seasoned artist or simply curious to explore the local arts scene, this event offers something for everyone.
