Panama Sports and the Paraguayan Olympic Committee will jointly host a training camp to ensure the successful staging of the 2025 Asunción Junior Pan American Games and to enhance the skills of participating athletes. The training camp focuses on improving athletes' performance, facilitating their adaptation to the host country Paraguay, promoting cultural exchange and goodwill among participating nations, and sharing experiences and best practices in sports development.

Over 1,000 athletes and 300 coaches from 14 sports, including Olympic wrestling, squash, beach volleyball, fencing, taekwondo, 3x3 basketball, judo, triathlon, karate, swimming, athletics, weightlifting, rowing, and archery, are expected to participate in this joint training camp.

The first camp, for wrestling athletes, took place from April 25th to May 4th. The final camp will be for archery, scheduled from August 2nd to 6th, just one week before the Games' opening ceremony. Panama Sports officially announced these training camp plans through a press release.

Jimena Saldaña, Secretary General of Panama Sports, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "We are very happy and excited about these camps jointly organized by Panama Sports and the Paraguayan Olympic Committee. This camp will directly benefit the young athletes of our continent preparing for the 2025 Asunción Junior Pan American Games. We have top-level facilities and equipment, as well as outstanding coaches and sports experts, and we are confident that all of this will provide our athletes with an unforgettable experience."

Camilo Pérez, President of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, emphasized Paraguay's readiness to welcome the young athletes of the continent. "The Paraguayan Olympic Committee and the Paraguayan government have worked hard to ensure the success of this training camp. This camp will be the perfect prelude to our great continental youth sports festival, the ASU2025 Junior Pan American Games. We will welcome all athletes with open arms," he stated.

This training camp will not only focus on improving the physical and technical abilities of the athletes. Throughout the camp, a variety of programs will be offered, including workshops on sports psychology, anti-doping, and nutrition management, as well as diverse cultural experiences, lectures by world-class experts, and customized training programs for athletes and coaches. Through these programs, participating athletes are expected to not only enhance their athletic performance but also cultivate the qualities of a well-rounded sportsperson and develop an international perspective.

The 2025 Asunción Junior Pan American Games is a major youth multi-sport event held in Asunción, the capital of Paraguay, where young sports talents from across the Americas will compete. This event is expected to play a crucial role in discovering the next generation of Olympic stars and promoting sports development in the Americas.

The joint training camp by Panama Sports and the Paraguayan Olympic Committee is an important preparatory step for the successful hosting of the Games and will provide participating athletes with a valuable opportunity to improve their performance and gain international experience. It is hoped that the remaining training camps for each sport will be successfully conducted, leading to the 2025 Asunción Junior Pan American Games being a successful festival filled with the passion and vigor of young athletes.
