PANAMA CITY, Panama – Otis Panama, a subsidiary of Otis Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: OTIS), has secured a four-year contract to provide maintenance services for over 200 units on Line 1 of the Panama Metro. This includes 60 elevators and 158 escalators, the majority of which were originally installed by Otis in 2013 and have been under their maintenance since.

This new contract extends Otis's long-standing partnership with the Panama Metro. The company also supplied and maintains more than 220 elevators and escalators for Line 2, installed in 2016. Furthermore, Otis has been selected to install the elevator and escalator systems for the upcoming Line 3. Upon completion of Line 3, Otis will be responsible for the maintenance of over 500 units across the entire Panama Metro network.

"We are proud of our long-standing and trusted relationship with the Panama Metro and our work to support them in providing safe and high-quality passenger transportation," said Stancy Guerrero, District Manager, Panama and Costa Rica, who oversees Otis’ projects related to the Panama Metro. "This contract continues our multi-year support of this historic infrastructure project.”
