Bucheon City Boosts Local Employment with "On-Site Recruitment Center on the Go"

Bucheon City is stepping up its efforts to vitalize local employment by operating an "On-Site Recruitment Center on the Go," directly connecting companies facing labor shortages with citizens seeking jobs. The first event, held on the 16th at Bucheon Technopark Complex 2, offered one-stop employment services including on-site interviews, company consultations, and vocational training information, and is expected to provide practical assistance to both job seekers and businesses.

The "On-Site Recruitment Center on the Go" is being implemented under the "Field-Oriented Employment Support Business Agreement" signed by Bucheon City, the Bucheon Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the Bucheon Technopark Development Council on June 23rd. It aims to provide field-centered employment services. Specifically, the strategy is to enhance accessibility by utilizing worker rest areas within industrial complexes and to alleviate employment mismatches by arranging direct meetings between companies and job seekers.

This recruitment center goes beyond simply brokering jobs. In addition to the on-site recruitment center where interviews take place, experts in various fields such as HR and labor management, industrial safety, corporate grants, and vocational skills development are stationed to provide in-depth consultations. This offers companies various consultations necessary for their operations, and job seekers the opportunity to not only find jobs but also strengthen their professional capabilities and gain information for career development. This comprehensive information provision, along with actual interview opportunities, has received a great response from participants.

Following the successful first event, Bucheon City plans to expand the operation of the "On-Site Recruitment Center on the Go" to key industrial complexes within the region. The recruitment center will sequentially open on July 23rd at Ground 21 and the Worker's Rest Area on the 12th floor of Sambo Technopark, and on July 30th at the Seminar Room and Worker's Rest Area of Ssangyong 3rd Technopark. This is expected to contribute to increasing the overall employment rate in the region by allowing more companies and job seekers to benefit from employment services.

Through this initiative, Bucheon City aims to "kill two birds with one stone" by resolving the chronic labor shortage faced by local businesses while simultaneously providing practical employment opportunities for job seekers. Direct consultations and matching conducted on-site are expected to generate swift and efficient employment outcomes. Furthermore, this field-oriented approach is receiving positive evaluations for moving beyond traditional one-way information provision and offering demand-driven, customized services.

Min Sam-suk, Head of Bucheon City's Job Policy Division, emphasized, "We hope this initiative will practically help broaden employment contact points by directly connecting local businesses and job seekers, and resolve employment mismatch problems. We will continue to expand field-oriented employment support in the future." This indicates that Bucheon City will continue to spare no effort in solving local employment issues.

Job seekers wishing to participate in the "On-Site Recruitment Center on the Go" can consult and apply by contacting the Bucheon City Job Center (032-625-8432). Other related inquiries can be directed to the Bucheon City Job Policy Division (032-625-2712). Bucheon City's current endeavor is expected to have a positive impact on both local economic revitalization and the improvement of citizens' quality of life.
