Dubai, UAE – Emirates Airline is set to enhance its global connectivity and passenger comfort by expanding its network of retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft. This expansion will bring the airline's highly acclaimed Premium Economy class and upgraded cabin interiors to London Stansted Airport and Seoul, South Korea, in 2025.

London Stansted Welcomes Upgraded Emirates 777

Starting July 1, 2025, Emirates will introduce its refurbished Boeing 777 on select flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to London Stansted (STN). While Emirates currently operates a daily service on this route, the exact number of upgraded aircraft deployed is yet to be disclosed. This move makes Stansted the third UK airport, following London Heathrow and Edinburgh, to offer Emirates' latest cabin enhancements.

The state-of-the-art Boeing 777 features a three-class configuration, including Emirates' sought-after Premium Economy and a revamped Business Class layout, shifting to a more spacious 1-2-1 arrangement. The cabin boasts:

Upgraded First Class suites for an ultra-luxurious experience.
A refreshed interior with modern aesthetics, ghaf tree motifs, and elegant wood finishes.
Direct aisle access for all Business Class passengers.
Personal mini-bars and enhanced privacy features.
With the addition of Stansted, Emirates will now offer its latest Boeing 777 experience at three UK airports. Other European destinations served by these aircraft include Brussels, Zurich, Vienna, Geneva, and Athens.

Seoul Becomes Second East Asian Destination for Emirates' Retrofitted 777

In addition to its UK expansion, Emirates will introduce its modernized Boeing 777 to Seoul, South Korea, starting October 14, 2025. The service will operate three times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with flights EK324 and EK325 connecting Dubai (DXB) and Seoul Incheon (ICN).

Seoul will be the second East Asian city to receive these upgraded jets, following Tokyo-Haneda, which launched in December 2024. By March 2025, Emirates passengers traveling eastward will have access to over 3,150 weekly Premium Economy seats across key Asian markets, including:

Tokyo-Narita
Tokyo-Haneda
Osaka
Singapore
Shenzhen

Emirates continues to roll out its retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft globally, enhancing the long-haul travel experience across Europe and Asia, as part of its commitment to passenger comfort and luxury.

Emirates Expands Fleet Refurbishment Program

Emirates initiated its ambitious fleet enhancement program in November 2022, investing billions to redefine passenger comfort and upgrade in-flight services. Initially planned for 120 aircraft, the refurbishment program has since expanded to encompass 191 wide-body aircraft, including 110 Airbus A380s and 81 Boeing 777s.

Upon completion, Emirates will introduce 21,814 brand-new Economy seats, 8,104 Premium Economy seats, 11,182 Business Class seats, and 1,894 First Class suites, redefining luxury across all cabin classes.

The first fully upgraded aircraft, an A380 registered A6-EVM, entered service in September 2023, debuting on the Dubai-London route. Today, travelers can experience the state-of-the-art superjumbo on routes to major global destinations, including New York-JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sydney, Auckland, Melbourne, Singapore, Mumbai, Sao Paulo, and Tokyo.

Emirates has also focused on rapidly deploying Premium Economy on key U.S. routes, bringing the enhanced experience to major cities. In late 2024 and early 2025, retrofitted aircraft began serving routes to:

Chicago (December 2024)
Boston (December 2024)
Dallas & Seattle (January 2025)
Newark/Athens & Miami/Bogota (March 2025)

This expansion brings Premium Economy to 12 of Emirates' U.S. destinations. By late 2024, the airline had introduced Premium Economy seats to 48 destinations, utilizing its growing fleet of upgraded aircraft, including A380s, Boeing 777s, and the soon-to-be-introduced Airbus A350s. The newly introduced A350, offering a three-class configuration, currently serves key cities like Edinburgh, Kuwait, Bahrain, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad, with further route expansions expected in the near future.

As Emirates continues to expand its fleet and enhance its offerings, passengers worldwide can look forward to an increasingly refined and luxurious travel experience, reinforcing the airline's commitment to innovation and excellence.
