Wembanyama's Late Heroics Lift Spurs Over Blazers

Portland, Oregon - Victor Wembanyama, the highly-touted rookie, delivered a clutch performance to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a thrilling 118-116 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night.   

The Spurs trailed by as many as 17 points in the final quarter, but staged a remarkable comeback. With the game tied at 116 and 6.1 seconds remaining, Wembanyama was fouled by Jerami Grant. The young star calmly sank both free throws to secure the win for San Antonio.   

Wembanyama finished the game with 28 points. Jeremy Sochan and Julian Champagnie also contributed significantly to the Spurs' offensive effort.   

The Blazers, led by Jerami Grant's 32 points and Anfernee Simons' 30, fought hard but ultimately fell short.

Phoenix Suns 134, Utah Jazz 126: Kevin Durant returned from injury and scored 30 points, while Devin Booker led the Suns with 34 points.   

Indiana Pacers 121, Philadelphia 76ers 107: The Pacers dominated the game, with Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield combining for 52 points.
Chicago Bulls 109, Charlotte Hornets 95: DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls with 29 points, as Chicago cruised to victory.
Cleveland Cavaliers 115, Washington Wizards 105: Donovan Mitchell scored 32 points to lead the Cavaliers to a win over the Wizards.
Memphis Grizzlies 135, Brooklyn Nets 119: Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. combined for 54 points to power the Grizzlies past the Nets.
Denver Nuggets 120, Los Angeles Clippers 98: Nikola Jokic recorded a triple-double with 24 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists to lead the Nuggets to a victory over the Clippers.
Minnesota Timberwolves 97, Los Angeles Lakers 87: Anthony Edwards scored 27 points as the Timberwolves defeated the Lakers.
