Four Out of Five Korean-Brazilian Siblings Accepted into Prestigious Public Medical Schools in Brazil

In a remarkable feat, four out of five siblings born to Korean parents in Brazil have been accepted into prestigious public medical schools, captivating the attention of the local community. Carolina, Matheus, Gabriela, and Esther are each pursuing their dreams at different renowned public medical universities.

Siblings Paving Their Own Paths

Carolina Kim (30 years old): Graduated from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) School of Medicine
Matheus Kim (26 years old): Currently a 4th-year student at the University of São Paulo (USP) School of Medicine
Gabriela Kim (26 years old): Currently a 5th-year student at São Paulo State University (UNESP) School of Medicine
Esther Kim (24 years old): Currently a 6th-year student at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) School of Medicine

Passion for Pursuing Medical Dreams

Carolina Kim initially chose the path of medicine due to her parents' influence, but now expresses great satisfaction with her choice. Matheus Kim initially dreamed of becoming an engineer but found his calling in medicine after seeing his sister's dedication. Gabriela Kim had aspired to be a doctor since childhood, and Esther Kim naturally followed in her older siblings' footsteps.

Unique Study Methods Leading to Medical School Success

Each of the four siblings employed distinct study methods to gain admission to medical school. Carolina Kim followed a systematic study routine, while Matheus Kim focused on meticulous time management. Gabriela Kim honed her skills through consistent problem-solving and review, and Esther Kim developed her own efficient learning techniques.

Pride in Their Respective Medical Schools

The siblings take great pride in their respective medical schools. Carolina Kim praises the family-like atmosphere of UNIFESP, Matheus Kim highlights USP's exceptional infrastructure and academic opportunities, Gabriela Kim emphasizes UNESP's differentiated hospital internship system, and Esther Kim extols UNICAMP's campus life and practical experiences.

Strong Family Support

The siblings share their medical school experiences through social media, garnering significant attention. They emphasize the absence of competition within their family and the unwavering support they provide for one another. They also acknowledge their parents' dedicated support as a crucial factor in their success.

Youngest Daughter Aspires to Medical School

The youngest sibling, Rachel Kim (14 years old), currently a high school student, is also nurturing her dream of becoming a doctor, following in her older siblings' footsteps.

Parents' Devoted Support

Father Seok-won Kim, who immigrated to Brazil in 1976, dedicatedly drove his children to school, a 1.5-hour commute each way, every day. Mother Chae Yoon-jung prepared packed lunches and provided unwavering support for their children's education.
