Former South Korean football star Park Ji-sung has renewed his criticism of the Korea Football Association (KFA), calling for a complete overhaul of the organization.

In a recent interview, Park, who now heads the JS Foundation, expressed deep concern over the KFA's loss of public trust. He pointed to a series of controversies, including the appointment of national team managers, questionable pardons, and allegations of financial mismanagement, as evidence of the association's failures.

"It's clear that the KFA has lost the trust of many people," Park said. "They have consistently shown an inability to change, and this has led to widespread anger and frustration."

Park's comments come on the heels of a government audit that found KFA president Chung Mong-gyu responsible for several administrative failures, including irregularities in the selection of national team coaches and questionable pardons for individuals involved in match-fixing.

Notably, Park expressed his willingness to play a more active role in reforming the KFA. "If my experience from playing abroad can be of any help, I'm more than happy to contribute," he said. "I'm constantly thinking about what I can do to help Korean football."

However, Park dismissed the idea of seeking intervention from international football governing bodies like FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). "I don't think FIFA or AFC would want to get involved in this," he said. "We need to find a solution ourselves."

Park suggested that the KFA needs new leadership with strong administrative skills and a commitment to integrity. "We need someone who can manage people effectively and lead the organization with honesty," he said.

Park's latest comments are seen as a direct challenge to Chung Mong-gyu, who is expected to seek re-election as KFA president. The former Manchester United player's outspoken criticism is likely to intensify the ongoing debate about the future of Korean football.
