Balletino Seong Jae-seung and ballerina So Ha-eun are performing "Mazeppa" choreography at the Mapo Cultural Foundation's "Franz Liszt's Night" performance held at the Mapo Art Center Art Hall Mac in Seoul on the 14th.
"Matinee Concerts" presented by major performance halls are also one of the representative "kind performances."
Matinee is a word derived from the French word (martin) meaning morning, and a matinee concert refers to a performance held mainly on weekday afternoons. It is characterized by trying to get closer to the audience without formality through explanations.
The Seoul Arts Center is the first place to start a matinee concert with the program "11 o'clock Concert." The "11 o'clock Concert," which started in 2004 and has been running for over 20 years, opened this year's program on the 13th with the collaboration of classical guitarist Ahn Yong-heon and pianist Choi Hyeong-rok, and the direction of Seo Jin, a professor at 계명 University. "Saturday Concert" and "Classics with Heart" are also regularly presented in the form of matinee concerts.
It is expected to approach the audience with different charms such as the commentary of actor Kang Seok-woo, who is familiar to the public ("11 o'clock Concert"), and the commentary of conductor Hong Seok-won ("Saturday Concert"), who leads the actual performance and helps to deepen understanding.

Lotte Concert Hall has presented programs that deeply illuminate music based on the expertise of performers, such as "Kim Jung-won's Music News," "Baek Hye-sun's Beethoven," and "Choi Su-yeol's Classic Dusi."
In the first half of the year, violinist Danny Koo, who is well-known for his entertainment, will meet the audience. Over three times on March 20, April 17, and May 15, Danny Koo will play and explain songs he has personally selected on the themes of movies, spring, and jazz, respectively.
In the second half of the year, soprano Sumi Hwang will hold a matinee concert. Three concerts will be held on September 18, October 16, and November 20, and songs will be sung on the themes of 'Gagok in My Life', 'Opera in My Life', and 'Musical in My Life', respectively.
In addition, the Seongnam Arts Center will hold a matinee concert that will listen to and explain various music such as chorus, opera, and art songs on the theme of exploring Austrian music.
