Screening diverse genres of Paraguayan feature films and shorts from March 26th to 28th.

ASUNCIÓN, PARAGUAY - Film enthusiasts in Asunción are in for a treat as the Centro Cultural Paraguayo Americano (CCPA) gears up to host its 10th annual Paraguayan Film Festival from March 26th to 28th. This year's edition promises a rich cinematic experience, featuring a diverse selection of three compelling feature films and three engaging short films that highlight the creativity and storytelling prowess of Paraguayan filmmakers.

The festival will kick off on Tuesday, March 26th, with Joaquín Pedretti's "Una sola primavera," offering audiences a glimpse into its narrative. The cinematic journey continues on Wednesday, March 27th, with Sebastián Peña Escobar's "Los Últimos," followed by the suspenseful "No Entres" by Hugo Cardozo on Thursday, March 28th.

Adding to the diverse program, each evening will also showcase a noteworthy short film. Attendees can look forward to Paz Encina's "La Entrevista Final," Andy Romero's "El Fiscal," and "Jaguatá cortos animados," a collection of animated shorts by various artists, recognized as the winner of the Haguatá 2024 competition.

In an exciting addition to the festival experience, the CCPA will offer a unique pre-screening activity. Attendees will have the chance to immerse themselves in virtual reality through the "Tech Space" project, featuring a 360-degree VR experience zone with a variety of captivating VR content.

All screenings are scheduled to begin promptly at 8:00 PM at the CCPA. Tickets for each evening's program are priced at an accessible 20,000 guaraníes and can be purchased directly at the box office.

Since its inception in 2015, the CCPA Paraguayan Film Cycle has played a vital role in nurturing a dedicated audience for Paraguayan cinema. This annual event serves as a crucial platform for showcasing the talent and artistic vision within the national film industry, contributing significantly to the appreciation and understanding of local productions. This 10th edition is poised to continue this tradition, offering a compelling window into the world of Paraguayan filmmaking.
