GOYANG, South Korea – The Korean water industry is gearing up for a significant resurgence with the announcement of Water Korea 2025, the nation's premier water industry exhibition. Scheduled to take place from March 19 to 21, 2025, at the KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang, this event promises to be a pivotal moment for professionals and businesses in the water sector.

Organized by the Korea Water and Wastewater Works Association and supported by key government bodies, including the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and Gyeonggi Province, Water Korea 2025 will address the critical challenges of ensuring safe and equitable water supply in the face of escalating climate change. The exhibition's theme, "Safe Water and Our World," underscores the urgency of these issues.

Water Korea 2025 is expected to draw a record-breaking participation of 210 companies occupying 585 booths, showcasing the latest technologies and solutions in the water industry. A highlight of the event will be the Water Safety Special Pavilion, dedicated to exploring strategies for safeguarding water resources amidst climate uncertainties.

To bolster support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the exhibition will feature expanded joint pavilions operated by leading organizations such as K-water, K-eco, Gyeonggi Province, and Seoul City. An online exhibition hall will also provide comprehensive information on 140 companies and over 690 products, extending the event's reach beyond the physical venue.

The event will host a diverse array of side events, including export consultations with 60 overseas buyers from 17 countries, purchasing consultations, and international seminars featuring experts from Hungary, Mongolia, and Vietnam. Export support seminars, with participation from Indonesia, France, and the Czech Republic, will also be conducted.

Furthermore, Water Korea 2025 will feature specialized seminars on key topics such as Korea-U.S. water and sewer technology cooperation, urban flood management, water safety, and national support projects for water and sewage systems. A purchase and procurement competency enhancement seminar and the Water and Sewer Workers' Unity Sports Festival will also be held.

The event will culminate with the World Water Day Ceremony on March 21, hosted by the Ministry of Environment, focusing on "Securing Water Resources for the Future in an Era of Climate Crisis."

Kang Ki-jung, President of the Korea Water and Wastewater Works Association, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, "Through Water Korea 2025, we aim to revitalize the domestic water industry and provide a vital platform for communication and exchange among water sector professionals. We encourage widespread participation to identify the development direction of the water industry and foster collaboration."

Water Korea 2025 is poised to be a landmark event, driving innovation and collaboration in South Korea's water sector and contributing to global efforts in sustainable water management.
