Choi Dong-yeol recorded a time of 26.05 seconds and won a bronze medal in the men's 50m breaststroke final at the 2024 International Swimming Federation Management 2nd World Cup held at Munhak Park Tae-hwan Swimming Pool in Incheon on the 25th. It also set a new Korean record.

Choi Dong-yeol, who received enthusiastic support from domestic fans, vigorously crossed the water. Choi Dong-yeol, who achieved good results against world-class players, was happy after the game.

First place was China's Qin Haiyang with a time of 25.76 seconds, and second place was Belarus' Ilya Simanovich with a time of 25.78 seconds.

Choi Dong-yeol, who met with reporters after the game, said, "I have participated in many international competitions, but since the competition was held in Korea, there were many people cheering me on. I played without pressure and came to win with good memories."

He also said, "I was confident because I have strengths in starts and turns, and I got good results. If we keep competing like this, I think there will definitely come a time when we can stand shoulder to shoulder in bigger major competitions." He added, "There are big competitions taking place in Korea right now, and many “After the game, fans came and expressed their gratitude for their love of swimming, saying that they didn’t get tired thanks to all the support.”

Also, in the women's 200m freestyle final, Cho Hyun-joo took fourth place with a time of 1 minute 56.38 seconds, surpassing the 1 minute 57.94 time held by 'The Little Mermaid' Kim Seo-young (30, Gyeongbuk Provincial Office).
