120 Sacks of Rice Provided to Local Children's Centers and Group Homes

Bucheon City announced on the 8th that Taejoo Solution Co., Ltd., a local electronic circuit (PCB) specialized company, donated 1,200 kg of rice (120 sacks of 10kg each, worth approximately 3.6 million won) to child welfare facilities in the city on the 7th, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Pearl S. Buck Foundation of Korea (Chairman Ryu Jin).

The donated rice will be distributed, with two sacks going to each of the 57 local children's centers and one sack to each of the 6 group homes in the city. The rice delivered to each facility will be used for meals for children in need of care, and Bucheon City expects this support to contribute to the healthy eating habits of the children.

Hong Gyu-jeong, CEO of Taejoo Solution Co., Ltd., stated, "We prepared this with the hope that it would provide a warm meal, however small, to the children in our community. We will continue to share and care for our neighbors together with the Pearl S. Buck Foundation of Korea and Bucheon City."

Bucheon Mayor Cho Yong-ik expressed his gratitude to Taejoo Solution Co., Ltd. and the Pearl S. Buck Foundation, saying, "I thank Taejoo Solution Co., Ltd. and the Pearl S. Buck Foundation for delivering meaningful donations to our local children in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Pearl S. Buck Foundation's establishment. The rice delivered to the local children's centers and group homes will provide a warm meal that helps children feel the community's interest and love."

Bucheon City plans to further strive for the improvement of child welfare and the spread of a culture of sharing in the region through continuous cooperation with corporations, private organizations, and welfare institutions. Additionally, the city will prepare various support measures and realize the value of win-win coexistence with the local community.
