Jeonbuk Bank Expands 'Bravo Korea Moving Lounge' Service for Foreign Residents with Third Vehicle Launch in Seoul

SEOUL, South Korea – JB Financial Group's Jeonbuk Bank (CEO Baek Jong-il) has officially launched its third 'Bravo Korea Moving Lounge' vehicle in Seoul, signaling a significant expansion of its customized mobile banking services for foreign residents across South Korea. This strategic deployment aims to enhance accessibility and provide tailored financial support to the growing expatriate community.

The newly introduced third 'Bravo Korea Moving Lounge' will be operated under the purview of Jeonbuk Bank's Dongdaemun Foreigner Financial Center. Its operational focus will be on high-density areas with significant foreign populations, including Dongdaemun, a vibrant hub for shopping and tourism, and Daerim, known for its diverse foreign commercial and residential districts. Recognizing the unique characteristics of these locations, the third lounge is specifically designed to prioritize comprehensive financial counseling and information services.

This latest addition builds upon the successful operations of the first two 'Bravo Korea Moving Lounge' vehicles, each designed with distinct concepts and roles. The first vehicle, primarily serving the Busan and Gyeongsang provinces, has focused on promotional activities and general financial consultations for foreign residents. Meanwhile, the second vehicle, operating in Ansan and the wider Gyeonggi area, specializes in accompanying foreign residents to various institutions and providing mobile support services. This diversified approach, with each vehicle offering unique services based on regional needs, is a hallmark of the 'Bravo Korea Moving Lounge' initiative.

A Jeonbuk Bank official stated, "The third vehicle represents an advanced, urban-centric service tailored for foreign customers active in the tourism and commercial hubs. By reflecting the regional characteristics and customer needs in key locations like Dongdaemun and Daerim, we aim to significantly strengthen our engagement with foreign customers through customized mobile financial services." The official further emphasized, "Having completed the 'JB Bravo Korea' platform, we are committed to meticulously managing all vehicles on-site to ensure they faithfully fulfill their respective roles."

The expansion of the 'Bravo Korea Moving Lounge' service comes at a time of increasing demand for specialized financial services for foreign residents in South Korea. According to the Ministry of Justice, the number of foreign residents in South Korea has steadily grown, reaching over 2.5 million by the end of 2024. This demographic shift has highlighted the need for more accessible and culturally sensitive financial solutions. Jeonbuk Bank's initiative directly addresses this need by bringing banking services directly to where foreign residents live and work, overcoming potential language barriers and logistical challenges often associated with traditional banking.

Jeonbuk Bank has long been recognized for its efforts to support foreign residents. In addition to the 'Bravo Korea Moving Lounge,' the bank offers a range of services tailored for expatriates, including multi-language support at branches, specialized foreign currency exchange services, and simplified account opening procedures. The 'Bravo Korea Moving Lounge' further solidifies Jeonbuk Bank's commitment to fostering financial inclusion and providing practical assistance to the diverse foreign communities across the nation. This innovative mobile banking solution is expected to not only enhance the convenience for foreign residents but also contribute to their smoother integration into Korean society.
