Jeonju City is making proactive moves to attract companies in the bio sector, a future growth engine. In connection with the recruitment of tenant companies for the Jeonju Innovation Startup Hub Growth Center scheduled for the first half of this year, until March 14, the city plans to operate a concentrated week for attracting bio companies and actively promote Jeonju's attraction through customized proposals and briefings for companies in the metropolitan area.

Jeonju's Strengths:

Nationwide Unique Medical Device Support Infrastructure: Establishment of a full-cycle infrastructure to support class 3 and 4 interventional medical devices.
Advanced Material Utilization: Strengthening innovative capabilities in medical devices using new materials such as carbon materials.
Business-Friendly Occupancy Space: Jeonju Advanced Venture Complex Knowledge Industry Center and Jeonbuk National University Industry-Academic Convergence Plaza, etc.
R&D and Human Resource Development Support: Promotion of advanced bio-nurturing R&D support projects and innovative medical device specialist training projects.
These efforts have led to the achievement of attracting six companies in the advanced bio sector last year, and these companies are expected to contribute to the creation of about 30 new jobs and the revitalization of the local economy.

Jeonju's Bio-Industry Ambitions

Jeonju City is strategically positioning itself as a hub for the advanced bio-industry, a sector that holds immense promise for future economic growth. By focusing on its unique strengths, such as its state-of-the-art medical device support infrastructure and its commitment to R&D and talent development, Jeonju is creating a fertile ground for bio companies to thrive.

The city's proactive approach to attracting investment, including targeted outreach to companies in the Seoul metropolitan area and the provision of attractive incentives, demonstrates its determination to become a leader in this critical sector.

The potential benefits of a thriving bio-industry in Jeonju are significant. The creation of high-quality jobs, the stimulation of local economic activity, and the development of cutting-edge medical technologies are all within reach.

Jeonju's commitment to fostering a vibrant bio-ecosystem is a testament to its forward-thinking vision. By embracing innovation and investing in its future, Jeonju is poised to become a major player in the global bio-industry.
