SEOUL, South Korea – BTS member V's debut solo album title track, 'Slow Dancing,' has officially surpassed 500 million cumulative streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, as of May 21st. Big Hit Music, V's agency, announced this significant achievement on May 23rd, marking another major milestone for the global superstar.

This is the third solo track by V to achieve over 500 million streams on Spotify. His previously released track, 'Love Me Again,' has already impressively exceeded 1 billion streams, while 'Christmas Tree' also boasts over 500 million streams. These numbers underscore V's immense popularity and influence as a solo artist, demonstrating a consistent and growing global reach beyond his group activities.

'Slow Dancing' is a captivating Pop R&B track built on a 1970s soul sound foundation. The song stands out with its unique atmosphere, enriched by jazz elements, creating a truly distinctive listening experience. Listeners are drawn to V's romantic and relaxed vocal delivery, which perfectly complements the track's mellow vibe. A particularly enchanting feature of the song is the improvised flute performance in the latter half, adding a layer of spontaneity and artistic depth that resonates deeply with fans and critics alike.

Released in September 2023, 'Slow Dancing' quickly garnered international attention. It made a strong debut on the U.S. Billboard Main Singles Chart 'Hot 100,' peaking at an impressive 51st position. The track also performed exceptionally well on the UK Official Singles Chart 'Top 100,' reaching number 24. These chart performances highlight the song's widespread appeal and V's ability to chart successfully in major music markets.

The success of 'Slow Dancing' was mirrored by its accompanying solo album, 'Layover.' The album also achieved significant commercial success, climbing to the 2nd position on the U.S. Billboard Main Albums Chart 'Billboard 200.' 'Layover' was meticulously crafted to showcase V's unique musical identity and vocal prowess, featuring a blend of genres that reflect his artistic vision. The album's concept, visuals, and overall production received critical acclaim, further solidifying V's standing as a versatile and compelling solo artist. The continuous stream of achievements for 'Slow Dancing' and 'Layover' reaffirms V's strong foothold in the global music industry, proving his capacity to consistently deliver chart-topping hits and beloved records.
