Golfzon's 'City Golf' hybrid golf course attracts attention in China

Golfzon's 'City Golf', an urban hybrid golf course that combines the advantages of screen golf and field golf, has been attracting great attention in mainland China, with the goal of advancing into the global market, led by China.   

Golfzon (CEO Park Kang-soo and Choi Deok-hyung) announced on the 18th that City Golf, the world's first urban golf course created by Golfzon, is receiving various attention from the Chinese government, golf industry, and media, and will expand the City Golf business to major cities in China starting this year.

City Golf is a new urban golf platform model that was first introduced in Tianjin, China in September last year. It combines world-class golf simulator technology and field golf course operation know-how to provide an optimal environment where you can vividly experience the field even in the city center. hybrid golf course.   

Golfzon's first urban golf course project, City Golf, was developed by combining screen golf (golf simulator) and field green based on Golfzon's innovative technology. It has 18 holes on a 5,000-pyeong indoor space, with 18 screens and greens each.   

From the tee shot to the approach, the game is played on the screen, and from the green-side play, the screen opens and the play is made in the green area.

The feature is that you can have a vivid experience as if you were playing on a real field in the middle of the city without any restrictions on weather or time.

On December 20th of last year, Golfzon's City Golf was selected as an excellent case in the sports facility category of the '2024 China Smart Sports Representative Cases' announced by the China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Sports General Administration, raising expectations for Golfzon's business in China.

City Golf was selected as one of the excellent sports facility cases, receiving good scores in evaluations such as 'application of advanced technology', 'business performance evaluation', and 'development potential' through multi-stage screening by a jury of experts.   

Along with this, articles highlighting the success story of City Golf were reported on the 10th through Xinhua News Agency, a Chinese national telecommunication company, and China Daily, a Chinese newspaper based in Beijing.   

According to the report, Golfzon's City Golf will lead the digital transformation of China's golf industry, and is expected to drive urban development and economic growth in line with national strategies pursuing 'Healthy China' and 'Exercise for All'.

Hong Jin-pyo, head of Golfzon's City Golf Business Department, said, "We are planning to open the second City Golf store this year, and we are preparing procedures step by step so that we can open City Golf in Korea within this year." "We plan to open additional branches in other countries such as the United States, Vietnam, and Japan, and plan to strategically expand our business according to the characteristics of each country we are entering."

Meanwhile, Golfzon participated in the '2025 PGA Show' held in Orlando, USA from January 21st to 24th, and officially introduced City Golf to buyers and visitors in the global golf industry, receiving great attention and discussing with public institutions and private companies for business expansion. is in progress.   

It plans to participate in the PGA Show in 2026 in a more expanded form, and plans to present a space where visitors can directly experience the innovative urban golf environment of City Golf.
