ASUNCIÓN, Paraguay – The esteemed ADEC Awards, hosted by the Christian Association of Business Leaders (ADEC), is poised for a significant milestone in 2025 as it commemorates its 30th anniversary. For three decades, ADEC has been at the forefront of identifying and celebrating businesses that champion innovation, sustainability, and meaningful social and environmental impact through their operational models.

Over the past 30 years, ADEC has recognized 352 companies, consistently underscoring the critical importance of corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability within the business landscape. As the corporate world undergoes rapid transformation, ADEC is adapting its prestigious awards program by expanding the categories and further fortifying the transparency and integrity of its evaluation process.

Jorge Figueredo Coronel, President of ADEC, stated, "Our challenge is to broaden the award categories to reflect emerging trends such as digital transformation, sustainable innovation, and the circular economy, while maintaining the high standards of the award through a rigorous and transparent judging process."

The ADEC Awards distinguishes itself by looking beyond mere financial success, focusing intently on companies and leaders who demonstrate a genuine commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship. This comprehensive evaluation criteria, while potentially limiting the number of nominees, ensures that the awarded companies serve as truly respected role models within the business community.

Gloria Ayala Person, former President of ADEC, and Yan Speranza, Head of the Awards Committee, officially announced the commencement of nominations for the 2025 awards. Speranza emphasized the non-profit nature of the program, stating, "There is no cost associated with nomination, nor are there any fees for the winning companies." He attributed the sustainability of this fee-free model to the generous support of strategic partners.

A distinguished panel of business leaders and association representatives will meticulously evaluate the nominated companies based on a holistic set of criteria. Key evaluation areas include exemplary business management, social commitment, positive societal impact, promotion of employee well-being, ethical management and transparency, sustainability practices, solidarity and community contribution, and contributions to the circular economy.

Rodrigo Rivarola, Coordinator of the Awards Committee, actively encouraged nationwide participation from businesses and entrepreneurs. Artist Juan Pablo Pistilli, who succeeded Hugo Pistilli, the creator of the inaugural award statuette, unveiled the new sculpture, explaining that his piece, titled "A Joint Effort for a Better Nation," symbolizes the collaborative spirit driving positive change.

More than just an awards ceremony, the ADEC Awards has played a pivotal role in promoting the significance of corporate social responsibility and sustainable business models, while fostering a culture of entrepreneurship. As it enters its 30th year, the 2025 ADEC Awards promises to be an even more impactful platform for companies that are making a tangible difference in society and the environment, encouraging broader participation and celebrating innovative approaches to responsible business practices.
