| ▲ Jinan-gun operates a ‘rural visiting bus that covers medical blind spots’ |
[Global Economic Times] Jinan-gun announced on the 17th that it operated a Jinan-gun rural visit bus at the Baekun-myeon Administrative Welfare Center auditorium.
The rural visit bus provides oriental medicine medical treatment, oral examination and oral care education, optometry, and oral care education for the elderly over 60 years of age, vulnerable groups, and residents in areas with inconvenience in using transportation and medical services in need of disease and health care. This is a project that provides support for magnifying glasses.
It is co-hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, Jinan-gun, and the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and is hosted by Jinan Agricultural Cooperative, Baekun Agricultural Cooperative, and Bugwi Agricultural Cooperative respectively, and will be held a total of three times until the end of this year.
Previously, on September 3, the first rural visiting bus project was promoted under the auspices of Jinan Agricultural Cooperative.
The second rural visit bus held on this day was hosted by Baekun Agricultural Cooperative and received a great response with the participation of about 200 residents of Baekun and Seongsu-myeon who wanted to receive medical treatment.
One participant said, “It was difficult to go to the hospital, but I am grateful that they came so close to my home for a health checkup.”
Kim Yeon-tae, president of Baekun Agricultural Cooperative, who organized this event, said, “The rural visit bus is an important project that provides practical help to local residents who have been pushed into medical blind spots due to population decline. We will continue to promote the project in the future to improve the health of residents and improve their quality of life. “I will do my best for this,” he said.
Meanwhile, the 3rd rural visiting bus is scheduled to be operated by Bugwi Nonghyup at the Bugwi-myeon Administrative Welfare Center on November 6.
