Vice Governor Hong Jong-wan Attends the 'Chungnam Small Business Owners' Day Commemorative Event' on the 22nd

Chungnam Province Administrative Vice Governor Hong Jong-wan attended the "2026 Chungnam Small Business Owners' Day Commemorative Event" held at the Gyeryong Minsook Marketplace on the 22nd, taking time to encourage and communicate with small business owners across the province.

Hosted by the Chungnam branch of the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise and organized by its Gyeryong branch, the event was organized ahead of Small Business Owners' Day (November 5) to boost the pride of local small business owners and revitalize the regional economy.

Attended by approximately 500 people—including Vice Governor Hong, distinguished guests, local small business owners, and residents—the event featured pre-performance entertainment, awards for meritorious individuals, and a harmony program.

During the merit awards ceremony, a total of 21 awards, including 9 provincial governor citations, were presented to small business owners and outstanding organizations that contributed to enhancing the rights and interests of small business owners and developing the regional economy.

Following the awards, talent shows featuring representatives from each city and county, prize presentations, and a raffle draw took place, allowing small business owners and local residents to mingle and strengthen their unity.

Vice Governor Hong expressed his gratitude, stating, "The 250,000 small business owners in Chungnam are the hope and bright future of the Chungnam economy. Because you are on the front lines of local commerce enriching the daily lives of our residents, Chungnam continues to grow steadfastly."

He added, "We will support digital transformation to help small business owners adapt to rapidly changing consumption trends, strengthen their self-sustainability, and continuously discover policies to build a robust social safety net and revitalize local commercial districts."
