Daejeon, South Korea - Daejeon Hana Citizen FC is set to host the '2025 Hana Queens Cup', a women's amateur futsal tournament, on May 17th. This marks the fourth edition of the Hana Queens Cup, an event initiated in 2022 to promote grassroots women's football in the region.

The tournament will take place at the Annyeong Life Sports Park and will accommodate a total of 16 teams. A total prize pool of 2.2 million KRW will be awarded, and all participants will receive commemorative gifts, including a Daejeon Hana Citizen gym sack and health supplements.

Registration for the tournament is open until May 2nd through the official Daejeon Hana Citizen website. Female football enthusiasts aged 19 and above, active in the Daejeon, Sejong, and South Chungcheong provinces, can form teams and apply. The winning team will earn the prestigious opportunity to represent Daejeon Hana Citizen at the '2025 K League Women's Futsal Competition Queens Cup (K-WIN CUP)'.

Kim Won-taek, General Manager of Daejeon Hana Citizen FC, stated, "As the Hana Queens Cup has become a representative women's futsal tournament in the Daejeon area, we have prepared a variety of programs this year to create a festival and a platform for unity through football. Above all, we will do our utmost to ensure that all participants can enjoy playing football safely and happily, and communicate with each other. We look forward to the enthusiastic participation of women's football enthusiasts who love the sport."

The K-WIN CUP, also known as the K League Women's Futsal Competition Queens Cup, is an annual tournament organized by the Korea Professional Football League (K League) since 2010. It aims to expand the base of amateur women's football by providing a platform for K League clubs to field teams composed of amateur female players. The tournament typically features teams representing various K League clubs from across South Korea, competing in a futsal format. The 2024 K-WIN CUP was held in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province, from October 11th to 13th and saw participation from 25 teams affiliated with K League clubs. Daejeon Hana Citizen's participation in the K-WIN CUP through the Hana Queens Cup underscores the club's commitment to supporting women's football at the grassroots level and providing opportunities for amateur players to compete at a higher level.
