Seoul, South Korea – Apple is set to launch its latest tablet, the iPad mini (7th generation), in South Korea on November 21st. This marks the first significant update to the mini series since 2021.

According to industry sources, pre-orders for the new iPad mini will begin on November 14th, a week before the official launch. The device will be available for purchase through all three major South Korean mobile carriers, Apple's official website, and various online marketplaces.

Priced at KRW 749,000 for the Wi-Fi-only 128GB model, the iPad mini 7 features a 21cm (8.3-inch) Liquid Retina display and maintains the lightweight and portable design of its predecessor. While many anticipated a 120Hz refresh rate for this new model, Apple has opted to stick with the 60Hz refresh rate found in previous generations.

Powered by the A17 Pro chip, which is also found in the iPhone 15 Pro models, the iPad mini 7 offers significant performance improvements, especially in AI-related tasks. The new chip features a 6-core CPU, providing a 30% performance boost over the previous generation, and a 5-core GPU, delivering a 25% improvement in graphics performance.

One of the standout features of the iPad mini 7 is its support for Apple's new intelligence feature, which enables tasks like text generation, image recognition, and video editing. However, the initial launch will only support English, with Korean language support expected to be added by April next year.

While the iPad mini 6 experienced significant stock shortages upon its release due to supply chain constraints and the global chip shortage, industry experts believe that the iPad mini 7 will have a more stable supply.

With its compact design, powerful performance, and support for advanced features like Apple's intelligence, the iPad mini 7 is expected to be a popular choice for consumers looking for a portable and versatile tablet.
