Family-friendly performances and interactive programs to be held at Naepo Hongye Park on October 14

The Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation (Acting President Lee Han-soo) announced that it will host the 「2026 Every Corner "Culture Day" 」 on Wednesday, October 14, at the Ungbi Plaza area of Naepo Hongye Park.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Chungcheongnam-do, and organized by the Regional Culture and Promotion Agency, the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation, and Arts Council Korea, this event aims to expand opportunities for provincial residents to enjoy culture and arts within their daily living spheres, while fostering a voluntary donation culture in the local community through corporate arts patronage.

In particular, moving away from conventional viewing-centered performances, the event combines performances, hands-on experiences, and audience-participatory art programs that families can enjoy together. Furthermore, by incorporating programs where corporations and residents can share the value of arts patronage and directly participate, the event is planned as a festival where the enjoyment of culture and arts harmonizes with sharing.

The event will run from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Prior to the main event, the 「Every Corner Culture Forum」 will be held at the Chungnam Library from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The forum will share directions for expanding cultural enjoyment opportunities centered around local living spheres, as well as the social value of culture and arts.

At the Ungbi Plaza of Hongye Park, participating cities and counties in the "Every Corner Culture Day" along with the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation will operate various culture and arts experience booths from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Along with hands-on programs that children and families can enjoy together, such as making mini-books, promotional booths will also be set up to raise awareness about the necessity and participation methods of arts patronage.

Notably, the interactive installation art program 「House of Arts Patronage」, a core feature of this event, will be operated with the message that the local community grows together through culture and arts. It is designed to let corporations and residents naturally experience the value of arts patronage and convey the message that small participation in daily life can lead to the sustainable growth of local culture and arts.

Alongside this, a variety of programs for the whole family will unfold, including collaborative performances by youth artists from various cities and counties, and a mega-balloon show that will captivate children's attention. Starting at 6:30 PM, the opening ceremony and the 「House of Arts Patronage」 sponsorship performance will kick off a series of stages featuring diverse genres, including a performance by the Baekje Gayageum Ensemble, a magic and circus show, and a musical gala show.

Events to boost audience participation have also been prepared. Two lucky draw sessions will be held during the event, alongside on-site programs such as the 'Chungnam Culture and Arts Patronage Family Ambassador' authentication event and the 「Culture Picnic」 SNS repost authentication event. Through these, the foundation plans to go beyond families simply enjoying culture and arts together, fostering an understanding of arts patronage and raising interest in sharing and donations.

Building on this event, the foundation plans to expand corporate interest and participation in arts patronage, and broaden cooperation frameworks so that private-sector social contribution activities can link to the vitalization of local culture and arts. Additionally, it aims to create an environment where expanded opportunities for regional cultural enjoyment and the establishment of a patronage culture create a virtuous cycle.

Lee Han-soo, Acting President of the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation, stated, “This 「Culture Picnic」 was prepared so that residents can enjoy high-level culture and arts close to their daily lives without having to travel far, and create special memories with their families. We hope that the joy of experiencing culture and arts will lead to voluntary sponsorship and sharing by corporations and residents, and that this participation will serve as a starting point for a virtuous cycle that once again broadens regional opportunities for cultural enjoyment.”

He added, “Moving forward, we will lower the barriers to cultural enjoyment so that any resident can easily encounter culture and arts within their living sphere, and continue to spread a culture of arts patronage shared by corporations and the local community.”

Meanwhile, the 「2026 Every Corner "Culture Day" 」 is free for everyone to attend, and detailed event information can be found on the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation’s website and official social networking services (SNS).
