As part of efforts to strengthen its branding as "Korea's Representative Bread City" and increase the length of stay for out-of-town tourists, Daejeon City held the grand opening of the bread-specialized complex cultural space "Travel Lounge Yuseong Hot Springs Station" on the 16th and officially commenced operations.

The Travel Lounge Yuseong Hot Springs Station has repurposed a vacant space at 7 Daehak-ro, Yuseong-gu (formerly the 1st floor of the Daejeon General Tourist Information Center, 113.62 square meters).

Daejeon City plans to utilize this space as a starting point, experience hub, information center, and reward provider for Daejeon bread tours by combining the existing tourist information function with the tourism-specialized content of "bread."

The space is structured with customized themes designed to maximize the fun and convenience of tourists. ▲ The Bread Office serves as a comprehensive information base for bread travel, handling bread mission tour reward claims and bread city tours. ▲ The Bread Rest Area provides a convenient dining space where tourists can take a break during their travels and comfortably enjoy bread and drinks they have purchased. ▲ Bread-Gute (Goods Store & Photo Zone) develops and sells various bread-and-Kkumdoli design goods, and features a bread-themed photo zone where visitors can leave certification snapshots of their visit.

Operating hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (excluding the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays), with professional staff stationed to provide tourist information and services to visitors.

In particular, Daejeon City plans to develop the space into a "bread azit" representing "Korea's Bread Address, Daejeon," linking it with tourism promotion events such as the "Daejeon Bread Festival" and "Nice to Bread You" held in October.

The city also plans to operate the facility as a popup-style theme and content space that continually evolves its core themes in response to changing tourism trends.

Kwon Kyung-min, Director-General of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Daejeon City, expressed expectations, stating, "Going beyond simple tourist information, we have strengthened experiential content that visitors can directly enjoy and experience. We hope that the Travel Lounge Yuseong Hot Springs Station will provide unique joy to bread travelers visiting Daejeon and become a landmark that leads to stay-type tourism, thereby contributing to the vitalization of the local economy and tourism."
