Indian guests came to Cherry Garden in Dongdaemun. Just as I expected, they ordered makgeolli (Korean traditional rice wine). Indian people are eager to try Korean soju, beer, and makgeolli. They especially love makgeolli because India has similar fermented alcoholic drinks made from rice or palm trees. Therefore, they thoroughly enjoy Korean makgeolli.
For anyone who wants to do business in India, I recommend opening a makgeolli brewery locally there. Even at this moment, they are holding traditional brass-colored makgeolli bowls and shouting, "So~~~ Good!" Since India is overflowing with rice and only the Korean nuruk (fermentation starter) needs to be brought over, a makgeolli business is bound to succeed. Knowing that India's iconic promotional slogan is "Incredible India," I had them shout this phrase. They look so happy enjoying Korean makgeolli together with the ginseng pancakes I developed.
