ANYANG, SOUTH KOREA – Anyang City recently held its 19th annual Social Worker's Day ceremony, a significant event dedicated to acknowledging the invaluable contributions and unwavering dedication of social workers within the community. The commemoration, held at the Anyang Welfare Center for the Disabled, brought together approximately 170 social welfare professionals from across the city in a vibrant display of unity and appreciation.

The ceremony served as a platform to recognize outstanding achievements within the social welfare sector. Twenty-one exemplary social workers were honored with prestigious awards for their exceptional service and impactful work in improving the lives of Anyang citizens. The event also fostered a sense of camaraderie among attendees through various interactive sessions and networking opportunities, allowing professionals to connect, share experiences, and strengthen collaborative bonds.

Adding a meaningful dimension to this year's celebration was a week-long online fundraising initiative launched to support the recovery efforts in the Yeongnam region, which recently suffered from devastating wildfires. This act of solidarity showcased the deep commitment of Anyang's social workers to extending their support beyond local boundaries and actively engaging in addressing national crises. Their proactive response highlights the core values of compassion and service that define the social work profession.

The Anyang Association of Social Workers, the driving force behind the event, reaffirmed its commitment to advancing social welfare in the city through robust public-private partnerships. The association emphasized its ongoing efforts to create a sustainable and impactful social welfare system that effectively addresses the needs of the community.

"Today, we express our deepest gratitude to the social workers of Anyang for their tireless dedication and profound impact on the lives of countless individuals and families," remarked an official from Anyang City Hall during the ceremony. "Their commitment to serving the most vulnerable members of our society is truly commendable, and this annual event is a testament to the value we place on their essential work."

The successful Social Worker's Day commemoration underscores Anyang City's strong commitment to recognizing and supporting its social welfare professionals, who play a crucial role in building a more caring and resilient community. The event not only celebrated past achievements but also reinforced the collective dedication to future endeavors in the pursuit of comprehensive and sustainable social welfare for all residents.
