Guri City Continues Free Bicycle Repair Service to Enhance Citizen Convenience

Guri City is extending its free bicycle repair service into this year, a program that has been running since 2018. This initiative aims to reduce the financial burden on citizens who use bicycles and enhance their overall convenience.

According to the city on April 24th, the repair center is located at 319, Sutek-dong. It will be open every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM until September 30th. The center will be closed on Mondays and Fridays.

While the bicycle repair service itself is provided free of charge, it is important to note that any necessary replacement parts will be the responsibility of the bicycle owner. This means that while the labor for repairs is free, citizens will need to cover the cost of any new tubes, tires, chains, brake pads, or other components required to fix their bicycles.

Guri City has consistently emphasized the importance of cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transportation. The free bicycle repair service is a key component of the city's broader efforts to promote a bicycle-friendly environment. By offering accessible and free maintenance, the city encourages more residents to choose cycling for their daily commutes, leisure activities, and errands.
