INTERX Sets New Global Standard for Manufacturing Data with Semantic AAS Implementation

SEOUL, South Korea — As the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) emerges as the bedrock of global manufacturing data standards, South Korean Industrial AI specialist INTERX is shifting the paradigm from theoretical models to scalable, real-world application.

On March 24, INTERX announced its leadership in establishing a "Semantic-based Standardization Methodology." By moving beyond simple data structures, the company is tackling the industry's toughest challenge: data fragmentation across diverse manufacturing equipment.

From Concept to Global Execution
AAS, often described as a "digital container" for physical assets, originated from Germany’s Industry 4.0 initiative. While global giants like Siemens and Bosch have adopted the framework, INTERX is taking a decisive lead in the actual implementation phase.

Through its proprietary Intelligent Semantic Hub (ISH), INTERX ensures that data from different machines doesn't just "talk" to each other but "understands" the context. By assigning consistent semantic terms to data attributes across hundreds of equipment types, the company has overcome the interoperability limits of previous standardized models.

The Backbone of Autonomous Manufacturing
INTERX’s role is pivotal in South Korea’s national smart manufacturing roadmap. Having already developed reference models for 70 types of equipment over the past two years, the company is set to standardize an additional 335 types this year. The ultimate goal is a comprehensive library of 500 AAS reference models integrated via the ISH structure.

To lower the barrier for entry, INTERX plans to offer these verified standards through a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. This will allow manufacturers to implement global-standard data environments instantly, without the need for massive internal system overhauls, accelerating the transition to "AI Factories."

Leading the Global Market
"Our strategy is built on the principle that INTERX’s standards will become the global formula for manufacturing data," said Jung-yoon Park, CEO of INTERX. "We are committed to strengthening our leadership in the global market by proving that our technical methodology is the most efficient path to data sovereignty and interoperability."

With major international projects like Europe’s Gaia-X and Catena-X gaining momentum, INTERX's successful validation of AAS in diverse Korean industrial sites is positioned to serve as the definitive blueprint for the future of autonomous manufacturing worldwide.
