Bucheon City announced on the 22nd that it is recruiting participants for the second half of the 'Nutrition Plus Project' for 2025. This project supports nutrition counseling and education for individuals with nutritional risk factors and provides customized supplementary food packages.

Eligible participants are pregnant women, postpartum women, breastfeeding mothers, infants, and toddlers under 66 months of age residing in Bucheon City whose households have an income below 80% of the median standard, and who have one or more nutritional risk factors such as anemia, low weight, or short stature.

Selected participants will receive a personalized food package from among six types of supplementary food packages twice a month. Nutrition counseling and education, along with nutritional assessments, will also be provided.

However, infants and toddlers receiving formula support through the low-income diaper and formula support project, and participants in the pregnant women's eco-friendly agricultural product package project, are not eligible for duplicate support.

Applications are accepted by prior appointment. Citizens wishing to participate can apply by calling the Maternal and Child Health Team at Bucheon City Public Health Center's Health Promotion Division (032-625-4470, 4471) to make an appointment, then visiting in person.

Kim Eun-ok, Director of Bucheon City Public Health Center, stated, "We hope the Nutrition Plus Project will help pregnant women and infants practice proper eating habits and grow up healthy." She added, "We will continue to provide various customized services to improve the health of nutritionally vulnerable groups."
