The Jeonbuk Tourism Support Center under the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Culture and Tourism Foundation (CEO Lee Kyung-yoon, hereinafter referred to as the "Foundation") announced that it is recruiting trainees for the "Level 2 Festival & Event Safety Manager Certification Course" until 6:00 PM on September 23.

The "Festival & Event Safety Manager" is a registered private qualification jointly issued by the Korea Festival Contents Association and Festival & Event Safety Management Co., Ltd. It is a professional certification designed to prevent and respond to safety accidents at event sites such as festivals, exhibitions, and MICE. Unlike general industrial safety qualifications, it comprehensively covers practical skills across the entire process of event planning and operation.

The recruitment is open to individuals interested in the MICE industry and tourism, with 30 trainees selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

Notably, the Foundation is subsidizing 200,000 KRW in government funds out of the total 250,000 KRW fee—which includes training fees, qualification testing fees, and certification issuance fees—allowing trainees to pay only 50,000 KRW.

The training will be conducted by the professional organization Festival & Event Safety Management Co., Ltd. on September 30 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the 1st-floor conference room of the Jeonbuk Tourism Support Center.

This course is designed to strengthen the field-oriented safety management capabilities of tourism talent as the importance of safety management in festivals and events grows. It aims to cultivate professional personnel capable of responding to risk factors throughout the entire event process and to spread a prevention-centered safety management system within the region.

The curriculum covers ▲ Safety Management Process, ▲ Emergency Management, ▲ Program Management, ▲ Safety & Health and Loss Prevention, and ▲ Related Laws and Regulations. Following the completion of the offline lectures on the day of the training, candidates will take a qualification exam, and passing results will be announced on-site immediately after the exam.

As the importance of safety management evaluation grows in public event bidding, the Foundation expects that this certification will help enhance corporate bid competitiveness and prove the practical capabilities of job seekers.
