Zhuhai, China – A Chinese aerospace company, Aerospace CH UAV, has successfully conducted a ground test of its CH-YH1000 unmanned cargo aircraft, according to a report by Global Times. The test, which took place on January 20th at Jianghan Airport in Jingmen City, Hubei Province, involved a full-load ground run to verify the functionality of all systems.

The CH-YH1000, capable of carrying a payload of at least 1,000 kilograms, is designed for a wide range of applications, including logistics, emergency rescue, and military supply. 1  With a maximum takeoff weight of 2,300 kilograms and an endurance of over 10 hours, this multi-purpose drone can operate in harsh environments and take off and land in very short distances. 1

Experts believe that the drone's ability to carry special payloads, in addition to its transportation capabilities, makes it suitable for both military and civilian use. The CH-YH1000 was first unveiled at the Airshow China 2024 in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, last November. The manufacturer plans to conduct its first flight test after further optimization and testing.
