Applied Materials Korea to Showcase Next-Gen Semiconductor Technology at Semicon Korea 2025

Applied Materials Korea, led by CEO Park Gwang-sun, will participate in 'Semicon Korea 2025' held at COEX in Seoul from February 19th to 21st, presenting next-generation semiconductor technology and future vision.

Applied will showcase its leading technology in the semiconductor industry through various programs at this exhibition, including keynote speeches, technology symposiums, forums and seminars, and career events for university students.

Dr. Prabu Raja, President of Applied Semiconductor Products Group, will deliver a keynote speech on the opening day, the 19th. He will present technologies to improve the power efficiency of semiconductor chips in the AI era and the direction of a sustainable semiconductor industry under the theme of 'Accelerating Energy-Efficient Semiconductors through Collaborative Innovation'. He also emphasizes the need for collaboration between industry, academia, and government, highlighting the need for next-generation semiconductor technology innovation.

Two Applied experts will give key lectures at the SEMI Technology Symposium (STS). On the 19th, Gaurav Thareja, Director of Applied Materials, will present on 'GAA Transistors for 2nm and Beyond Technology Nodes: Device Performance and Reliability Insights', and on the 20th, Choi Sang-jun, Global Product Marketing Director, will introduce 'High Aspect Ratio and High Productivity Etching Technology for Next-Generation 3D Integration'.

In addition, Kannan Perumal, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and Kang Seok-won, Information Security Director, will present 'Cybersecurity in the Semiconductor Industry Supply Chain' at the Cyber Security Forum. At the MI (Metrology and Inspection) Forum, Yeo Jeong-ho, Director of the Patterning Division, will highlight 'Inflection Points and Trends in eBeam Patterning Control for PPACt Improvement'.

Applied is also actively involved in events to foster future talent in the semiconductor industry. In addition to participating in the 'Meet the Expert' mentoring seminar, it will hold the '2025 Applied Wonderland' career event on the 21st in the conference room on the 3rd floor of COEX.

This event will provide a detailed introduction to Applied Materials, along with mentoring sessions with employees and information on job openings. It is designed to provide practical guidance and industry prospects to students hoping to find employment in the semiconductor industry.

An Applied Materials official said, "We plan to introduce the latest semiconductor technologies and solutions at Semicon Korea 2025 and seek ways to cooperate with the industry." "In particular, we will emphasize the importance of collaboration for semiconductor process innovation and operate various programs to foster future talent."
