Cairo, Egypt - MEDLOG, the logistics arm of the MSC Group, has signed a 30-year agreement with Egypt's General Authority for Land and Dry Ports (GALDP) to develop infrastructure for a new dry port and logistics center in the 10th of Ramadan City.

The project, located in the eastern part of the Sharqiya governorate, will serve as a key hub within Egypt's ambitious plan to transform the country into a regional leader in transport and logistics.

"MEDLOG, with its global reach and expertise, is committed to developing state-of-the-art facilities," stated the company in a press release. "This project aligns with our strategy of investing in strategically located inland platforms to provide efficient and seamless supply chain solutions for our customers."

The 10th of Ramadan dry port and logistics zone will encompass 130 acres for the port itself and an additional 120 acres for the logistics center. It will be strategically connected to major seaports on both the Red Sea (Sokhna) and the Mediterranean (Port Said, Damietta, and Alexandria) through a network of roads and the new Robiki/10th of Ramadan/Belbeis railway line.

This project is part of a broader government initiative to establish 33 dry ports and seven integrated logistics corridors across Egypt. These corridors will link industrial zones, including manufacturing, agricultural, and mining sectors, with key transportation hubs.

Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El-Wazir emphasized the significance of this project, stating that it will not only enhance the efficiency of domestic and international trade but also contribute to the development of new urban communities through improved connectivity.

The 10th of Ramadan development is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening Egypt's position as a regional logistics hub, facilitating trade flows, and driving economic growth.
