Platform Prepared for Enjoying Advanced Science and Technology and Fostering Future Science Talents

Daejeon, South Korea - The '2025 Daejeon Science Festival', showcasing innovative science and technology and future visions, is scheduled to be held with great success in Daejeon Metropolitan City, the hub of science and technology in South Korea. This festival, to be held next year, is expected to provide citizens with diverse opportunities for science experiences, enhance understanding of future science and technology, and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy through the spread of scientific culture.

The Daejeon Science Festival has garnered enthusiastic attention from the scientific community and citizens alike every year with its high-quality scientific content and engaging programs. The 2025 festival will also consist of rich and diverse programs, including exhibitions of cutting-edge science and technology, future technology experiences, science lectures and talk concerts, science plays and performances, and meetings with scientists.

In particular, the upcoming festival will feature special exhibition halls where participants can directly experience and understand core science and technologies that will lead the future society, such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, bio, and aerospace. Participants will have the opportunity to explore future cities through virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies, control self-operating robots, and glimpse the changes that advanced biotechnology will bring to human life.

Furthermore, special lectures and talk concerts featuring renowned domestic and international scientists are expected to convey in-depth knowledge of science and the latest research trends to citizens, helping to cultivate scientific thinking skills. Science experiment workshops and lectures by science creators for young people will contribute to nurturing the dreams of future science talents and stimulating interest in science.

In addition, various cultural events will be prepared to make science easy and fun to approach, such as science plays, magic shows, and performances that fuse science and music, making it a festival that the whole family can enjoy together. Science-related institutions and companies in the Daejeon area will also participate, showcasing their research achievements and technological capabilities and having opportunities to communicate with citizens.

An official from Daejeon Metropolitan City stated, "The 2025 Daejeon Science Festival will be more than just a science festival; it will be an important platform for fostering dreams for the future and spreading scientific culture. We will prepare a wealth of attractions and experiential programs so that people of all ages can enjoy science and gain inspiration for future science and technology."

The 2025 Daejeon Science Festival is expected to significantly contribute to raising the status of South Korean science and technology and further solidifying the image of Daejeon as a science city. Detailed event schedules and programs will be announced later through the official website.
