Expected to boost market entry and export expansion in China for resident companies of the Cheonan Complex Startup Park

The Chungnam Culture & Contents Agency (President Kim Yeon, hereinafter referred to as the "Agency") announced on the 12th that it participated in the "2026 KOREA BUSINESS EXPO SHENZHEN (30th World Korean Business Convention)" held in Shenzhen, China. During the event, the Agency supported the global expansion of seven resident companies from the Chungnam Cheonan Complex Startup Park, achieving a total of $15.6 million (approx. 20.8 billion KRW) in export consultations and business cooperation outcomes.

Organized by the World Federation of Overseas Koreans Traders Association, the "2026 KOREA BUSINESS EXPO SHENZHEN (30th World Korean Business Convention)" was designed to expand cooperative opportunities between Korean and Chinese enterprises through export consultations and business exchanges. Participating companies operated exhibition booths and engaged in business meetings with local buyers and corporate officials to showcase their products, services, and technologies while exploring opportunities to enter the Chinese market.

With the support of Chungnam Province and Cheonan City, the seven resident companies of the Chungnam Cheonan Complex Startup Park drew significant interest from local buyers based on their differentiated products and technological capabilities. Over the course of the event, they conducted a total of over 100 export consultations and signed 12 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), laying the cooperative foundation for entering the Chinese market and confirming the potential for future export expansion.

Notably, Company E, a resident enterprise operating integrated solutions in the solar energy sector, signed a technology-related MOU worth $7 million with Company A, establishing a cooperative foundation for global market expansion and drawing attention as discussions for follow-up cooperation took place.

President Kim Yeon stated, "Through this event, local startups were able to directly verify the demand in the Chinese market and expand practical business cooperation opportunities with global enterprises," adding, "We will continue to provide steady support based on follow-up monitoring and collaboration to enhance the global competitiveness of local startups."

The Agency plans to continue supporting the global expansion of resident companies at the Chungnam Cheonan Complex Startup Park and pursue various overseas cooperation projects, such as discovering international buyers and linking follow-up businesses.
