Jeju Island, South Korea – The Jeju Tourism Organization has recently unveiled a series of pilot programs designed to offer visitors a deep sense of healing and rejuvenation. The programs, centered around the theme of "Quiet Meditation, Comfort of Jeju," took place from November 6th to 9th at various locations across the island.

The initiative aimed to showcase the unique offerings of the 12 newly certified wellness tourism destinations in Jeju. These programs provided participants with opportunities to connect with nature, immerse themselves in local culture, and practice mindfulness.

Key Highlights of the Programs:

Natural Dyeing Experience at Scene of Jeju: Participants engaged in a hands-on natural dyeing workshop, using local plants to create unique dyed fabrics.
Tea Ceremony at Hoesudaok: The program featured a traditional tea ceremony using locally sourced teas and accompanied by local snacks.
Community Immersion in Shinheung 2-ri Dongbaek Village: Visitors experienced the warmth of the local community, participating in activities like making bibimbap with locally produced camellia oil.
Mindfulness and Nature Retreat at Haevichi Hotel & Resort: Guests enjoyed sunset yoga, meditation, cycling, and running, amidst the stunning natural beauty of Jeju.

"We wanted to showcase the lesser-known aspects of Jeju's wellness tourism and offer visitors a unique and authentic experience," said a spokesperson for the Jeju Tourism Organization. "We will continue to foster the development of Jeju's wellness tourism and position it as a leading destination for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation."
