Hibab, a popular South Korean mukbang YouTuber with 1.65 million subscribers, has candidly revealed her monthly YouTube earnings during a recent episode of the show "Ebabseggi."
In the episode, which aired on [date], Hibab made a bold promise to her viewers: she would reveal her YouTube earnings for the previous month and her highest-earning month if she could find a dinner companion to treat her to beef.
After a successful search for a dinner companion, Hibab shared that her YouTube earnings for September were approximately 26.76 million won ($20,000 USD at the time of filming). She further revealed that her highest-earning month was May 2021, when she earned around 102.9 million won ($77,000 USD).
Despite her substantial earnings, Hibab emphasized that running a company, as she does, comes with significant expenses. She explained that while her overall YouTube revenue may seem high, her personal take-home pay is not as large due to various business expenses.
"I know it might seem like I earn a lot, but after running a company, there's not much left for me personally," Hibab said.
Hibab's candid revelation has sparked discussions about the earnings of popular YouTubers and the challenges of running a successful online business. Many of her viewers expressed admiration for her transparency and praised her for her commitment to her employees' well-being.
