Singapore – Ideal Systems, a leading AV and broadcast systems integrator in Asia, has acquired Control Logic Systems (CLS), a Singapore-based professional audio specialist. This acquisition, announced on the opening day of Broadcast Asia 2025, has garnered significant industry attention.

Anticipated AV Business Expansion Through Synergy

David Seow, Managing Director of Control Logic Systems, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, "We are thrilled to join Ideal Systems in growing their Southeast Asian AV business." He added, "We believe our premium loudspeaker brands Fohhn Audio, Amate Audio, Revolution Acoustics, Bogen, and Public Address systems from LDA Audio Tech and Amperes Electronics will be a perfect fit for the premium Pro AV market that Ideal Systems operates in."

CLS boasts over 30 years of experience in the enterprise pro audio sector, having successfully completed large-scale projects such as the design and installation of the network Public Address System for Singapore Changi International Airport Terminal 3, and the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system. They also possess extensive experience in churches, auditoriums, hotels, and the retail market. Seow emphasized, "We look forward to working with the Ideal Systems Southeast Asia teams to enhance their enterprise audio system capabilities in their fast-growing Pro AV business," anticipating positive synergy for both companies from this acquisition.

Enhanced Technology and Improved Customer Service

Through this acquisition, all CLS staff, existing inventory, and various demo equipment will be transferred and installed at the Ideal Systems offices. This will enable Ideal Systems to consistently offer customers full audio demonstration capabilities for cutting-edge audio products such as beam steering loudspeakers. This is expected to significantly contribute to Ideal Systems providing enhanced experiences and solutions to its clients.

Fintan Mc Kiernan, CEO of Ideal Systems Singapore, described the acquisition as "extremely timely as our AV business continues to grow." He commented, "Having experienced audio professionals such as CLS join us gives our AV team a huge boost." He added, "With the injection of new premium audio product lines, and the technical knowledge and market experience of CLS, we are well placed to accelerate our growth in the market whilst simultaneously improving the quality of service to our customers."

Mc Kiernan particularly praised the expertise of David Seow, an elected member of the Institute of Sound, Communications & Visual Engineers, UK, who possesses outstanding technical capabilities in the audio field. Mc Kiernan emphasized, "His technical capabilities will not only complement our business but will also be a great support asset for our expanding teams in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia."

Continuation of a Successful Partnership

Ideal Systems has already collaborated with CLS on several successful state-of-the-art sound system hotel projects. Notable examples include The Iconic Marjorie Hotel in Penang, The Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa in Langkawi, and The Hilton Hotel in Petaling Jaya, where Fohhn Beam Steering Active Line Array loudspeakers were successfully deployed.

Mc Kiernan explained, "These projects allowed us to develop a close partnership with CLS, and over the last few years, it became the logical next step to integrate their audio expertise into our Southeast Asia AV portfolio." This suggests that the decision was driven by trust and expertise built through long-standing collaboration, rather than merely a corporate acquisition. Ideal Systems is expected to solidify its position in the Southeast Asian market and redouble its efforts to provide customers with the highest quality AV and audio solutions through this acquisition.
