Despite a recent defeat to Paraguay in the South American qualifiers, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) has unveiled a new kit for the national team. The kit, a reimagining of the 1974 World Cup jersey, marks a special 50-year partnership between Argentina and its kit supplier.

The launch video features star players like Lionel Messi, Julián Álvarez, and Rodrigo De Paul, among others, sharing their excitement about the new design. The video captures a light-hearted atmosphere as the players showcase the retro-inspired kit. Notably, defenders Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martínez recreated a humorous exchange from training, adding to the video’s appeal.

The new kit maintains the classic blue and white stripes, but with a modern twist. It features a special AFA logo commemorating the 50-year partnership and stars symbolizing the team’s World Cup victories. The inside of the kit includes an exclusive tag dedicated to this special edition.

The kit is available in a variety of pieces, including jerseys, shorts, socks, training wear, and even a goalkeeper's jersey. The goalkeeper's jersey, to be worn by Emiliano Martínez, is expected to be particularly popular.

Argentina will debut the new kit in their upcoming match against Peru on November 19 at La Bombonera.

The release of the new kit has been met with enthusiasm from fans. The combination of the retro design, the players’ fun-filled promotional video, and the significance of the 50-year partnership has generated excitement among supporters. As Argentina looks to the future, fans are hopeful that this new kit will bring them continued success.
