- Daejeon Western Fire Station Secures 150 Million Won via Fire Response System Improvement Contest

- Practical Application of A-BIM Integrated Operation Information Researched at the 119 Policy Conference Anticipated -

On the 14th, the Daejeon Western Fire Station held a partnership agreement ceremony with the Commission for Corporate Partnership in its main auditorium to successfully promote the "Doma Greater Market Digital Twin-Based Smart Safety & Revitalization Platform Construction Project."

Attendees at the ceremony included Byun Tae-seop, Secretary-General of the Daechung-Small Business and Agriculture Cooperation Foundation under the Commission for Corporate Partnership, Baek Seung-jae, President of the Doma Greater Market Merchants Association, and Kim Poong-min, CEO of Tover Co., Ltd.

This project was directly planned by the Daejeon Western Fire Station to improve the fire response system of traditional markets. It was ultimately selected after submitting a proposal to the "2026 Traditional Market and Small-Scale Franchise Safety Environment Improvement Support Project" contest, securing a total of 150 million won in national funding.

Doma Greater Market, the target of the project, is the largest single traditional market in Daejeon. With five fires occurring from last year to the present, the necessity for systematic safety management and a rapid disaster response system has been growing.

In particular, this project holds great significance as a practical application of research outcomes, utilizing the as-built model A-BIM (Building Information Modeling) based integrated operation information researched by the Western Fire Station research team at the 2026 119 Policy Conference in actual disaster sites.

The core of the project is to implement a traditional market using virtual model (digital twin) technology for the first time nationwide, establishing a smart safety management platform that supports market revitalization during normal times and provides core information required for on-site command during fires.

During normal times, it will enhance user convenience and support traditional market revitalization by guiding market visitors on store locations and movement paths while providing promotional information for each store.

In the event of a fire, it will support the commander's prompt situational judgment and firefighters' efficient initial response by providing critical information necessary for on-site command, such as the initial ignition location, internal market structure, and entry routes. Through this, it is expected to establish a new safety management model that complements the limitations of disaster response caused by complex market structures while promoting citizen convenience and traditional market revitalization.

Kim Ok-sun, Head of the Daejeon Western Fire Station, stated, "This project is very meaningful in that it was directly discovered and proposed by our fire station and applies the research achievements of fire officials to actual disaster sites. We will develop it into a nationwide exemplary case that utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide convenient and safe markets for citizens, and prompt and accurate on-site command information for firefighters."

Meanwhile, the Daejeon Western Fire Station plans to collaborate with related organizations and executing companies to promote platform construction and on-site verification, while preparing a smart safety management model that can be expanded and applied to other traditional markets in the future.
