That distant sprout of potential, after years of training and challenges, finally blossomed into the brilliant fruit of an Asian championship. This gold medal is the first ever won by a South Korean athlete, male or female, since skateboarding became an official Asian Games event at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Games.
