20 local residents participate... Training covers basic posture, pace control, and injury prevention

Bucheon City announced on the 14th that it operated a 'One-Day Running Class' in collaboration with the Bucheon City Hall track and field team at Ojeong Grand Park on the 13th.

This program was organized through the talent donation of the Bucheon City Hall track and field team to provide professional running education to citizens and help them learn proper exercise methods to incorporate into daily physical activities.

A total of 20 local residents participated in the program. It was designed with beginner-centric training, ranging from basic posture and safety rules to injury prevention and pace control, ensuring that even citizens starting running for the first time could participate without burden.

The Bucheon City Hall track and field athletes directly demonstrated basic running postures and warm-ups, observed participants' movements, and corrected their forms. They also guided participants through stretching and muscle relaxation techniques for injury prevention, as well as methods for adjusting pace according to individual physical fitness levels.

Following the instruction, the athletes and participants ran together around Ojeong Grand Park to apply what they had learned and practice proper postures and exercise methods.

Participating citizens gave positive feedback on being able to directly learn running postures and pace adjustment methods from professional athletes, expressing their desire to continue exercising consistently moving forward.

Song Jeong-won, head of the Bucheon City Public Health Center, stated, "While running is an easy exercise to start, it is important to learn proper posture and exercise methods suited to one's physical strength," adding, "We will support citizens in starting running safely under the guidance of professional athletes and continuously practicing physical activities in their daily lives."
